Personal Statement:

When it comes to running, I am a disciplined, well-oiled machine. For me, the drive to become better doesn’t stop when practice is over; I plan my life around maintaining a balanced diet and continuing my workout regime. I have been able to grow immensely as a runner because of my incredible work ethic, and under the guidance of an experienced coach, I know that my potential for success is boundless. Even though I dedicate a lot of my time to running, I am able to work a part-time job at my local golf course and prosper academically. My other defining trait as a runner is my positive personality. Nothing makes me happier than pushing myself and my peers to be the best versions of ourselves, and I can often be found organizing the optional Saturday practices to ensure the team’s success.

Through my experiences of being a competitive athlete in high school, I have become addicted to the rush of the runner’s high and want to continue my growth in a new level of competition at college. With my dedication and positivity, I can make any team my home.
